· TYPE LOCALITY. "Tarsee, bei Rehme, am Demavend bis 2800 m". [Mt. Demavend, N. Iran].

· RANGE. N. Iran, Talysh, ?Kopet-Dagh.

· DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. In the Talysh Mts., the ssp. kyros Gross et Ebert, 1975 seems to occur.

· HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. Steppe-clad slopes up to 2,000 m a.s.l. Host plant (Hesselbarth et al., 1995): Poa annua. Flight period: June-July.

· SIMILAR SPECIES. S. daubi, S. amasinus: UNF monochromous.
