· TYPE LOCALITY. "Dans les montagnes entre Achalziche et la frontiure turque". [Between Akhaltsikhe and the Turkish border, Georgia].

· RANGE. NE. Turkey and SW. Georgia.

· HABITAT AND BIOLOGY. Locally in humid midmontane and subalpine meadows of the Caucasus Minor and Kars Plateau at 1,300-2,300 m a.s.l. Host plant (Hesselbarth et al., 1995): Poa annua. Flight period: June-July.

· SIMILAR SPECIES. C. tullia: UNH with white spots. C. pamphilus: UNH usually without ocelli.
