• TYPE LOCALITY. "Namangan" [Southern slope of Chatkalsky Mts., W. Tian-Shan]; "Alai-Gebirge sudlicher von Margelan" [Northern slope ofAlaisky Mts., Kirghizia].
• RANGE. Confined to the mountains of Middle Asia.
• DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. Ghissar, Alai, W. Tian-Shan-thenominate subspecies; Darvaz - ssp. gerhardi Eitschberger, [1984].
• HABITATS AND BIOLOGY. Humid mountain meadows at1,700-3,000 m a.s.1. Flight period: June-July in a single generation.
